I think it's odd when people hyper-fixate on the Faker aspect of EXE, and say "oh he started that trend"
when every early sonic.exe thing did that
I feel like if anything, EXE started the spiral of tall lanky monster, because he was made way back in 2020, and back then no exes really did that. most stuck with the smaller, in-proportion-to-Sonic form.

it is going fine, i’m still mainly just trying to settle on some things, but im prioritizing the soundtest right now, as well as two other projects that have been in the works for a couple months now.
Tbf no one wants to remember the early sonic.exe era, me included
i still love how EXE is a faker that turns into a horrifying monster meanwhile the og sonic.exe faker just put in contact lenses and snorted 5 bags of coke
Definitely feels like more people focused on what their EXE's faker forms looked like after Faker and Black Sun released. Hell, "faker form" even became the name of that form
Before, it seemed most people would be fine with an off-colour Sonic as an EXE's faker form, but now people consider how an EXE looks pre-transformation is when designing one
I feel like the difference you made with his fake form is that he doesn’t just look like sonic, and that’s what gave him personality even before becoming a lanky monster. And there’s a lot of things that try to copy it like “here’s sonic but he has two eyes” or “here’s knuckles with yellow shoes” like I love how you started it off pretty simply and effectively and then all of a sudden a ton of creators just copied the concept in the exact same way you made it. Hog is black shoe cute sonic, wechidna is literally just faker knuckles in every way down to the black quills, chaotix also had black quills and was just pink knuckles with one eye, stranger is just sonic with short quills and two eyes. They’re always trying emulate the vibe of them looking a little wrong and trying to make you think it’s just the classic iconic character. I haven’t really seen exes do that before you did and when they had fake forms it was just regular sonic, maybe there was an exe that did that before but I think you improved it and made it pretty unique.

I'm not familiar with the Exe thing, but I think it's nice if you make an 'Exe' version of well-known characters.
Unfortunately, it's probably easier to make an executable version of a character than to make your own.
But you're right that it's an absolute no-go if the artist acts as if he were the first person to have ever done something with EXE
