It's literally just a power star archives ripoff but Sonic and with shittier sprites
When I first played the game, and then saw the gameplays until I saw the new update, I had to notice that it copied off most of The Power Star Archives aspects, stole sprites from Freedom Planet, stole aspects from other EXE games, and even copied off that one spooky Sonic 1990 video thing with the big scary Sonic head chasing Sonic I think. Also, I forgot to mention the evil Metal Sonic thing looks bland as fuck. To make matters worse, it did steal your burning Sonic animation.

i should know given that one of the devs for MGC now works on Ordinary Sonic Fangame we're cannibalizing MGC's corpse for assets to use
